Lovely! I never would've guessed that was HDR. I love how you retained the natural look, while still catching the detail in the sky.
You know, I must admit though, as beautiful as that picture is, I don't think any photo could quite capture the splendor of that particular sunrise. When I looked out the window yesterday morning, the magnificence of God's paintbrush literally took my breath away. That was treat! To face a couple days of a nasty winter storm, and then to wake up to that was such a blessing!
...me neither (about the HDR). I have taken 100's of sunrise/sunset photos, but they NEVER reveal the intense beauty and depth and DIVINITY of the subject. That is why, I too, run outside and while gazing, Praise and Worship the Only One who could create that masterpiece.
“Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Luke 12:27

I shoot most all of my photos with my Canon 50D or aging Rebel XT along with my 28-135mm IS USM and 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM lenses. For wide-angle, I have the XT's 18-55mm kit lens.
