Morality

ISO 100 ~ f/6.3 ~ 1/160th ~ 135mm

“Satan is not against good morals. He is opposed to Jesus Christ. A man can have good morals his entire life yet you and I know he will go to hell when he dies. It is Jesus Christ that everyone needs, and the devil knows this more than all of us. Satan's goal is to remove the name of Jesus Christ from his commands .... Without the authority of Christ, mankind is left to merely compare ideas. Morality becomes a matter of opinion. Putting forth the standards of Jesus Christ without His name is deadly.”

  • Great quote and wonderful corresponding picture. This is so true and has been on my mind for quite some time. I hear so often,"Well, you all are, you know... just like the really religious type,"...it bugs me! Why? Because they see standards, rituals and traditions that sprout from a family living for Christ and confuse it for 'being saved'. Those habits, etc. may make you "religious", but they won't get you to heaven! It's not the clean language, Church-going, skirt-wearing, submissive-mother-family that 'gets to heaven'. It's the hearts that have repented and been washed and cleansed by His blood that have been redeemed. All the extra stuff are things that come from being in pursuit of a life pleasing to The Master.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Hey ,Ryan.

I like that quote. It's a familiar truth, but stated eloquently.

Hey, I'm holding a verse-of-the-month discussion on my blog. You wanna stop by and leave a verse?

    Peace! --Jacob
