Walking in the Storm...

ISO 100 ~ f/7.1 ~ 1/200 ~ 65mm

I'll let you decide which one tells the story better... I like the top one because it draws your attention more to the fact that the colors are muted, the fog is thick, and the atmosphere gloomy. The lower one is almost too flat (not enough contrast) for monochrome, but yet it adds another aspect to the story that the top one skips.

What do you think?

  • They are both excellent, and I'm not sure which one I like better! I do think they emphasize different things though -- as you said, the top one brings out the storm more, but in the bottom one the people seem to stand out more (to me, anyways!) I guess it might depend on what you are looking for as to which one would be the favorite?!

  • the top one... The coloring in it enhances the mood of the picture, in my opinion.

  • Agreed, I like things about them both, but the first catches my eye more. Very nice though; I love pictures that so clearly tell a story.

  • Either that man is really tall or the lady with him is really short. (snicker)

    Best to ya!

  • I definitely like the top one better! I wasn't sure at first, but after looking at them several times today, the black and white one just seems to lack the interest the top one does.

    Looks like a sweet couple....:-)

    I miss them!!
