Drifting Ashore...

Trim your feeble lamp, my brother, some poor sailor tempest tossed,
Trying now to make the harbor, in the darkness may be lost.
Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!
Trying now to make the harbor, some poor sailor may be lost.

A very moving shot.. why? I can't pin my finger on it exactly. Simplicity yet interest possibly? The rope that is limp yet represents strength? Or maybe I just love the ocean to much...

I concur with Emily - very moving. I keep coming back to this one. To me, it presents a rather forlorn image. Perhaps the song you put with it is a cause of that. It seems as something discarded and unwanted. Perhaps useful at one point, but resigned now to a mere memory of it's former position...
Poignant thought when coupled with the song....
