Interesting - I have a lighthouse calendar with the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse on it. I thought I recognized it from previous pictures I've seen of yours, but it seemed too coincidental to me! Now recently, I've heard it said this is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the U.S. I wonder why that is....?
It is most likely photographed because, a few years ago, it was moved seven miles farther away from the beach to prevent the waves from washing away the hill on which it was previously sitting. It's really quite interesting!! (I'm Laura's sister, btw!)
“Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Luke 12:27

I shoot most all of my photos with my Canon 50D or aging Rebel XT along with my 28-135mm IS USM and 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM lenses. For wide-angle, I have the XT's 18-55mm kit lens.

Hi...I found your blog thru Emily's. Just a quick question...is that lighthouse Cape Hatteras in N.C?

Hi Laura,
Yes, that is Cape Hatteras. We were just out on the Outer Banks of N.C. for about a week with my sister and her husband.
